Why is following a diet designed for your individual blood type so important? Part 2

In a previous post I explored Dr Peter J. Adamo book “Eat right for your type” which suggested that following a diet specifically recommended for individual blood types diet could have a huge impact on health and wellbeing.  I decided to explore this issue of blood types further and uncovered other fascinating concepts that can be derived from blood type including the exercise recommended to allow the body to operate at an optimum level, personality characteristics and recommended careers which would be suitable. Some of the information stated below is taken directly from Dr Adamo’s book.

Through my research I have shared below what I discovered about each of the blood types, of course as individuals this may differ from your own personal characteristics but perhaps see if you can relate in any way …In Japan blood type is particularly favoured in relating to compatibility in Love and job suitability.

Blood type O personalities are easy going and go getters with excellent leader ship qualities, popular and self-confident they often have a positive outlook on life and adapt well to change. They are strong mentally and physically and as a result are often resilient, they are honest and loyal but can also at times can appear to be ruthless, insensitive and self-centred.

Blood type O generally respond best to intense exercise such as running, lifting weights, biking ,aerobics or contact sports 3-5 times a week for up to 60 minutes to help release Stress and reenergise their minds and bodies.

The best careers for blood type O are leader ship roles such as in Business or Sales, Politician, Banker and Athlete.

Medical risks for blood type O are blood clotting, inflammatory disorders such as Arthritis, low thyroid production, Ulcers and Allergies                           ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Blood type A personalities are detail orientated, organised, neat, good listeners, clever, thoughtful and passionate however they are also sensitive, tense and impatient and  therefore are prone to getting stressed easily especially in large crowds of people, excessive noise, extreme workloads or weather conditions,  or through a lack of sleep .

Blood type A generally respond best to calming exercises because of their highly wired internal structure such as Tai chi, Hatha yoga, swimming or walking for 3 times a week for up to 60 minutes. Meditation is also highly recommended to restore calm and balance.

The best careers for blood type A are rule and order orientated such as Accountants, Librarians, Writers, Lawyers and Economists. However due to their difficulty in handling Stress they are not suited to stressful or Managerial roles.

Medical risks for blood type A are Heart Disease, Cancer, Anaemia, Diabetes and Liver and Gall Bladder problems                         …………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Blood type B personalities are free spirits ,passionate and easy going with a highly creative nature and vivid imagination, they are also highly intuitive and idealistic. However they can also be impulsive and have problems with focussing to the task at hand.

Blood type B generally respond best to a combination of physical and relaxation exercises 3 times a week for up to 60 minutes such as Tennis and Brisk walking combined with Golf and Hiking.

The best careers for blood Type B are when they are able to be empathic and yet  challenge themselves when needed such as  an Artist, Journalist, Therapist, Cook or Talk show host.

Medical risks for blood type B are Diabetes, Chronic fatigue and Auto Immune Disorders.      ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Blood type AB personalities are the rarest of blood types are often highly sensitive, talented, intuitive, spiritual, emotional, friendly and passionate in their beliefs, they enjoy planning and organising but can also at times appear to be reserved, unpredictable, and inconsistent.

Blood type AB generally respond best to a combination of high and low impact exercise 3 times a week for up to 60 minutes such as Cycling and Dance, combined with Yoga and gentle swimming.
