The fifth Chakra is known as the throat or Vishuddha in
Sanskrit and is a masculine chakra which encourages honest communications not
only with ourselves but with others. The throat chakra governs energy release
from the thyroid and as a result if our emotional or physical state is not
balanced or healthy we can easily become tired or irritated as our energy
sources become depleted.
People with strong throat chakras are good communicators or
naturally use their creative gifts in their work or leisure to express
themselves, examples maybe music artists, lecturers or authors. Do you find it
easy to always express your truth to yourself and others or are you afraid of
criticism or judgement and so remain silent? Do you feel the words you wish to
express are relevant? Sometimes the greatest lessons we learn in life are from
the words of others through the written word or through listening to
motivational speakers or indeed our loved ones.
Balanced and healthy
throat chakra: able and willing to share your truth with others
without fear of judgement, always communicate with honesty and integrity with
no fear.
Blocked and closed throat
chakra: Not
speaking your truth, negative voices in your head, dismissive of what is
important to you, unable to find the words to say how you are feeling or feel
shy so unable to express as you would like too.
Overly open/active chakra: Difficulty in
stopping talking!
How to re balance
the throat chakra::Find the confidence and drive to
express what is important to you so your needs can be adequately met, trust in
yourself, write a blog to communicate your ideas and thoughts to others, if you
have ever wanted to sing try it’s a great way to express yourself and emotions!
Creative writing or noting down your thoughts in a journal and finally be
honest not only with yourself and your own needs but with others to ensure you
are receiving what you need and not what others feel you need.
