What are the benefits of Kegel exercises and how to do them?
Kegel exercises provide so many benefits for both men and women and if you commit to doing them regularly within 6 weeks you should start to feel the difference. The pelvic floor muscles support the Bladder,Rectum and Uterus and therefore are particularly helpful to tighten muscles following childbirth or prevent leakages or gas during Menopause.
They help to give better control over bowel movements and help to prevent prolapse following surgical procedures. If sexual intercourse is proving painful strengthening the PC muscles can aid relaxation and therefore increase pleasure.
For men they help to strengthen the muscles which control the erection therefore bringing much needed relief to conditions such as premature ejaculation or erectile dysfunction.
Below are two simple Kegel exercises for you to try.
Repeat each exercise 3 times daily.
First of all empty your bladder then locate your pelvic floor muscles if you struggle to find them try this exercise first.
When you are emptying your bladder squeeze and hold stopping the flow of urine for 5 seconds and then relax the muscles so the urine flow restarts and then repeat every 5 seconds.

For the second exercise simply squeeze the muscles as often as you are able to for a count if 10 seconds rest and repeat you can do this any where you like at the office or even travelling , so long as you are discreet nobody needs to know what you are doing so make the most of your commuting time by helping your body!
