What is Emotional intelligence?
There are various elements that combine to form emotional intelligence and these are social skills, self awareness, motivation, empathy , self regulation and relationship management . If all these elements can be combined stress levels are naturally reduced leading to a lesser degree of emotional reactivity and therefore a more positive outcome.
In order to become emotionally intelligent you need to start with being honest not just with others but just as importantly with yourself.
Emotional intelligence is recognised in those who are able to be honest and transparent when managing their own emotions, behaving and treating themselves and others with integrity and respect. In addition being emotionally intelligent requires having the ability to connect with others feelings and emotions with empathy , sensitivity , respect and understanding.
