Why do the Chakras have a different number of petals and what does each chakra relate to in the body?

Image
Why do the Chakras have a  different number of petals and what does each chakra relate to in the body? As previously discussed the Chakras are energy centres and the number of petals represents our own journey as we navigate various aspects of our consciousness towards a higher source of being. Each of the Chakras is depicted as a lotus flower because just like the lotus they represent spiritual growth, purity and enlightenment. The petals increase in number from the root to the crown because that is representing our own spiritual journey as our pranic energy travels up the spine , from not being connected  to a sense of complete awareness and consciousness . As we follow our spiritual journey the Chakras begin to open which represents our inner growth and spiritual expansion within. Our own journey is mirrored through the lotus ..beginning our journey in mud in the darkness and then gradually as our spiritual  connection and sense of awareness  increases w...

What are some interesting and insightful facts about the chakras?

Image
What are some interesting and insightful facts about the chakras? The chakras are incredibly fascinating so let’s take a deeper look at how these energy centres actually work and why we may think and feel the way we do. First of all the chakras are all governed by a particular colour, which reflect the personal characteristics of that particular chakra and it can happen that the way we feel about certain colours can portray how we are feeling in that present moment depending on the corresponding chakra it relates too. For example your favourite colour may be red, such as mine which relates to the root chakra which connects us to our sense of security, grounding, work ethics and reactions. Interestingly enough through personal experience I am generally very driven and focused however , when at times my root chakra has closed through numerous reasons I have felt doubt, unconnected to myself and a pain in my legs or pelvis which were sure signs to me that I needed to do some inter...

What are the chakras?

Image
What are the chakras? This is a question often asked and unless you have a spiritual disposition, are familiar with yoga or work in the complementary therapy field they can be somewhat of a mystery. They actually originate from India and are a complex energy system consisting of spinning wheels or energy centres which correspond to major organs, nerves and specific areas of our body that together contribute to our health and wellbeing . Therefore , if one of the major chakras is out of alignment , closed or overly open it will create unbalance and therefore disharmony in the part of the body where it is situated. Due to the popularity now of Yoga and new age therapies there is an increased interest in natural remedies as a healthier approach to modern medicine and many people are taking better care of their health and wellbeing. There are seven main chakras in total which are situated in the spine within an energy channel known as the Sushumna Nadi. There are many of these energy...
