What is the Heart Chakra and what does it govern?
What is the Heart Chakra and what does it govern? Hi Everyone, Have you ever wondered what the chakras are and what they do? Well now is your chance to find out with this guide. Please follow for more in-depth information and guidance to increase your knowledge and understanding . Here we focus on the Heart Chakra, otherwise known as Anahata. An in depth exploration of the chakras: Heart (Anahata) Location: the thymus/heart area (4th chakra) Colour: pink and green Related organs/glands: thymus, heart and lungs Stones and crystals: rose quartz, jade, emerald and adventurine Associated Planets: Venus Chakra mantra: Yam Direction of movement clockwise Corresponding Element: Air Life Affirmations: ‘My heart is open to both giving and receiving love ‘I deserve to find love and happiness in my life’ ‘I am loving and compassionate to all things including myself‘ ‘My heart is open to helping and understanding others needs ‘
Governing attributes: loving and compassionate, can both give and receive love, able to forgive others, love and relationships, understanding others. The Heart chakra or Manipura as it is known in Sanskrit is the fourth Chakra and is feminine, connected to the solar plexus below and is a combination of green and pink on corresponding sides which offers the ability to both give and receive love equally. When the chakra reflects green it is facing backwards and represents the ability to give and show love to others but when it is faced forwards and radiates a pink colour it signifies the ability to receive love from others and give love to our self unconditionally. Those who have suffered heart break will know only too well of the pain and trauma of this chakra in one part and yet those who have been fortunate to find a real and authentic love will have felt the beauty contained within it. Being the central chakra it is incredibly powerful as often the other energy centres will resonate from it in some way. Signs of a healthy and balanced heart chakra are those who often have successful relationships in all areas, particularly personal, as they have the ability to give and receive love with no expectations and are naturally empathic and compassionate to all those that they meet. They have the ability to forgive easily without bearing grudges towards others. Signs of a closed or blocked heart chakra are being very unhappy about your life and the things in it, suffering from depression and self-esteem issues, finds it difficult to let go and often bear grudges towards others from the past, struggles to accept compliments or to be positive within or about themselves or their achievements to others. Signs of an overly active or open heart chakra are: Giving away too much of yourself and energy to others with no boundaries so you often feel exhausted as you are so focussed on helping others you forget about your own needs. Learning to re balance the heart chakra: every day make a conscious effort to be kind, even the smallest of gestures can make a difference to somebody’s else’s life and its so good for the soul, be grateful for everything you have in your life particularly your loved ones, forgive those who have hurt you and do all you can to heal unresolved trauma ,accept other peoples short comings including your own and stop being so hard on yourself , nobody is perfect and we are not supposed to be. Daily meditation can be helpful in finding connection and a sense of peace and tranquillity within ourselves.
