 What are the fundamental aspects to having high self esteem?

When you look in the mirror can you honestly say you are proud of yourself and the life you have created? It is so easy to get caught up in this concept of feeling we need a sense of external validation from others when the only people we need to impress are ourselves!
There are six pillars of self esteem and it is considered that by applying these to our lives we can not only greatly increase our sense of self love but also our personal happiness and they are as follows:
Living purposefully
Aligning your values and goals with direction . Directing your life to match your intentions as opposed to just going through the motions and not really being clear on what it is you want and the life you wish to create for yourself.
Self acceptance
Accepting every aspect of yourself including your flaws and shadow self, whilst being willing to recognise your strengths and embrace them.
Living consciously
Being fully present in every aspect with a full understanding as to how our decisions and behaviour will impact not only ourselves but the world around us.
Self responsibility
Taking personal responsibility for the choices we make and not blaming others for the consequences of our decisions.
Self assertiveness
Not being afraid or feel ashamed to express your needs, feelings and emotions whilst being mindful of the impact they may have on others .
Personal integrity
Being consistently honest and true and backing up your words with the relevant actions . Not giving into temptation for your own desires when you know the actions will cause concern to someone else .
