What is Homeopathy and what are the benefits?

Homeopathy is an alternate system of working with remedies made typically from plants or minerals with the thought process that 'like cures like'. Therefore if a substance creates certain effects within a person when they are feeling fully healthy and well within themselves, then the same substance can be used to stimulate healing responses to disease in someone who is feeling ill to make them feel better by giving them the same substances .
Therefore the same substance that when taken at a high potency can cause illness can also be medicinal when taken at a low dose.
The homeopathic remedies are prepared carefully and gradually, allowing time to create the correct potency. This is achieved by continuously diluting the substance to be used in water or alcohol after which it is shaken vigorously . It is believed that the more diluted a substance is the more potent and therefore more impact it could potentially have to restore imbalances within the body. A treatment will typically last for 60 minutes, during which time a full consultation will be taken exploring all aspects of the clients health to ensure the appropriate treatment and remedies are given.
It is advised that children or those suffering from serious diseases including TB, Malaria and HIV should consult their GP prior to receiving treatment .
Benefits following a homeopathic treatment include relief from:
Allergies
IBS
PMT
Fatigue
Depression
Arthritis
