What are the benefits of morning meditation?

The best time to do a morning meditation is upon waking before you start your day , ideally for at least 20 minutes to one hour before and if you have a particularly busy life even 5 minutes will make a difference .
So what benefits can be gained as a result of morning meditation?

It enables you to start your day with a calm and focussed mind set to bring clarity and an increased sense of focus, motivation, personal drive and awareness to your decisions whilst regulating long term emotional stability .

It helps to build resilience which is particularly important if you have a demanding role such as being a parent of a young child or holding a work position of great importance. If your mind is in a calm state you will be better equipped to deal with any Stressful encounters which may occur throughout the day.

Finding time for yourself in the day can be difficult ,therefore when you wake is often the best time because it allows you to wake slowly and consciously and through doing so you are able to create a better chance of building a long term routine where you will not get distracted . A boosted mood and calmer outlook creates better working and personal relationships leading to increased focus and productivity in all aspects of your life.
