 Which style of meditation would be best suited for those struggling with emotional pain?

A huge part of any relationship is learning to balance the good times with the bad, which is not always easy and there will come a time when due to circumstances that are often not within our control you will need to learn how to navigate the process of letting someone you love go. This does not always relate to a romantic relationship, it could be the death of a family member, a friendship that has run its course or even moving away from a path of life that is no longer in your future plans. Each of these situations can be equally devastating in its own way, especially if we were not prepared for the inevitable changes that come as the result of loss.as ultimately a part of giving your heart to another is the possibility of heartbreak one day, which can either be intentional such as a romantic break up ,natural such as a death , or due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, an accident or someone taking their own life or having their life taken. Grief is a process that anyone who has encountered any kind of loss will be sadly familiar with. There is no right or wrong way and acceptance of the new normal can take time. The loving kindness meditation teaches us to practice forgiveness towards ourself and others because if we continue to carry emotional burdens our hearts will never heal. Through this meditation we learn to forgive and accept the life lessons we will learn, encouraging a sense of increased understanding and compassion,whilst taking accountability to eliminate negative emotions, criticism and judgement which will enable us to heal and reduce feelings of isolation and emotional pain. To love someone unconditionally you need to understand that there will come a time at some point when you need to part, we all will one day and this meditation encourages us to feel only love instead of pain making acceptance that little bit easier, because ultimately to genuinely love someone can be the most beautiful but also the most painful emotion you will ever feel, especially when its time to let them go. #loss #love #lettinggo #livingwithloss #forgiveness
