What is Consciousness and why is it so beneficial to our lives?

The definition of consciousness is to be fully aware of the connection within yourself. Through learning to be fully conscious, our state of awareness is increased, allowing us to understand ourselves better and to be fully present with not only our surroundings but our thoughts and emotions also.

As we learn more about ourselves and our inner world we naturally start to evolve as we move through the 5 stages of consciousness which are known as primal, reactive, willful, intellectual and intuitive.

Through activating our inner consciousness we become more aware of the outer world around us so we can start to make the necessary changes to start being more mindful, whilst setting goals for our future lives.

So how can you start to become more conscious within your own life?

Be open to new experiences and do not be afraid to embrace them especially if they can help us to grow and learn more about ourselves. Spiritual practices which include Yoga and meditation can help us to connect more deeply within to help us better understand our needs and core values . Through becoming more mindful we are able to practice gratitude and appreciate the beauty of others in addition to the attributes within our own lives.

Through connecting internally we learn to recognise areas of our life that require change as we begin to focus on our beliefs, thoughts and actions towards ourselves and others. A healthy diet and lifestyle helps to internally cleanse to prioritise wellbeing ,whilst choosing to engage in activities that bring us internal peace helps us to detach from our ego, bringing clarity and a better understanding so we can start to awaken and become more mindful and conscious within , enabling us to focus on our intentions and goals for the future .
