How can meditation help with self love?

As human beings there will always be times in our lives when we may place doubt and can be self critical of ourselves, maybee we forgot to pick something up from the store and we speak negatively to ourselves or perhaps due to Pregnancy or the Menopause our body no longer looks the way it once was and too be honest none of us are getting any younger, all these concerns are normal but if we find ourselves constantly being critical not only of ourselves but also others too then it can be a cause for concern.

Meditation can help to create and increase self love by raising our consciousness, leading to less self criticism which allows us to embrace our attributes in addition to acknowledging and accepting our faults. Learning to find love within yourself can be challenging if you have always sought validation and attention from others and yet the love we feel for ourselves will be the most pure and beautiful we will ever experience throughout our lives.

Through meditation.we learn to become more compassionate and loving not only towards ourselves but others also. The way we react to situations also becomes much calmer as we become more aware of our thoughts and emotions so when we do react it comes from a place of logic rather then fear or anger which can both be very self destructive.

Over the years I have learnt many important life lessons in relation to self love and the most important one is this. Everyone will always have their own opinion on how a person or situation appears to be to them, even when its not necessarily accurate and that will only change when they are ready to see a different perspective which does not always happen. Not everyone will accept you and thats ok so long as you can love yourself unconditionally.

You are only responsible for your own thoughts and behaviour and not others, if you feel you cannot be accepted the way you are then walk away and find the ones who respect and see your value. It is not your job to try to change somebodies opinion of you. Do not dim your light or sparkle for anyone. You are one of a kind ..remember that.

If there is one thing Ive learnt in life is this ...be true to yourself ...meditation can help to give you an insight into who that really is. ..not the person you feel you should be but who you really are which you will discover through an increased sense of consciousness helping you to become fully aware of not only who you are but also what it is you have to offer.
