Which style of Meditation would be best suited to those suffering from Depression, Stress or Anxiety? As a rule it is important to find the style of meditation that is the best fit for both yourself and your lifestyle because then you will have a better chance of practising it on a regular basis. However, for those struggling with mental health concerns, especially Anxiety and Depression it is important to find a practice that particularly helps to increase your sense of focus which will enable you to find a sense of peace and stillness within the mind and body. The ideal meditation to help you do this is the Body scan because by tensing and releasing each part in turn it helps you to relieve the pressure within the mind from racing thoughts as you will be placing your focus within the body. When the mind is able to relax from overthinking and feeling consumed by negative thoughts or feeling overwhelmed, clarity naturally increases ,releasing panic and confusion, which enables an increased sense of emotional regulation leading to an improved mood and sense of inner calm.
