Why did I choose to become a massage therapist ?

One of the most commonly asked questions I get is why did I decide to become a massage therapist? I was always a very sensitive child growing up from a very young age I became aware extremely quickly of other peoples emotions and intuitively could sense when they were upset or needed comfort. At first I would consider this hyper sensitivity as a curse as I would be affected so easily by other peoples words and actions but as I got older I saw it as a blessing as I began to naturally tune into people and could intuitively sense when they needed a hug or a back rub to make them feel better. It was then that I realized what if I could take this sensitivity and intuition and use it to help people,to somehow make a difference to help ease their pain and improve their lives in some way. I was 16 years old when I made the decision to let my heart and hands guide me and now at almost 47 years old with over 30 years of experience I can honestly say with every day that passes  my p
