What is the significance of recognising how energy works within the body for healing?

Everything that our senses experience is made up of energy that means everything we can see, touch, our thoughts and even our feelings as human beings, we may appear to be in a physical form but we are in fact comprised of energy vibrating in a subtle form which is our life force promoting health and wellbeing in our minds and bodies.

In these modern times we focus so much of our time into achieving external things such as a new relationship or car as we feel this will make us feel better within ourselves, however the real happiness cannot be found from external stimuli but from within, if we wish to change the way we feel we need to learn how to open up our energy channels so we can clear blockages and heal from the inside out.

The way we relate to others and how they perceive us can be a telling sign to understanding our energy body as without us even realising we do give off vibrations as to how we are feeling and how open we are, if your heart is open others will sense that and will feel safe to confide in you, however it is important to understand that every bodies energy body is different as no two people are the same as we all operate a different vibrational frequency and therefore feel energy differently.

During a healing session energy is able to be moved throughout the body using sound, breath or movement such as body work, the practitioner will channel energy from the higher source first of all by setting an intention for the receivers highest good, followed by using visualisation which impacts how the energy flows. Breathing throughout the session is vital as if the breathing is not continuous the energy does not flow and can become trapped such as when we feel tingling in our hands. An effective technique to prevent this from happening is to open up energy gateways prior to the session starting and these are located at the base of the spine and at the top of the neck with the spine connecting acting as a channel allowing energy to move upwards and out of the body.

The most essential aspect for working with energy however is the practitioner’s pure intent and the receiver’s genuine desire for healing. During the session the energy is channelled from source through the practitioner’s body to the receiver, therefore it is essential that both the practitioners and receivers hearts are open so that energy can then be received to allow change to occur. Throughout our life time we will experience hard ships which contribute to form blockages in the energy body and it is only through practising relevant spiritual practices including meditation and using yogic principles that these blockages can be removed which opens up the energy flow within the body.

During a session if the intention is pure energy will constantly be flowing however there may be times when the practitioner will be aware of it but not the receiver so why may this be? It is important to understand that if this happens it does not mean the treatment is not effective energy is constantly flowing through us throughout our lives we may just not be tuned into the subtle nature of it.  There can be other reasons too such as there may be emotional blockages in the body that we need to work through, our vibrational frequency may not be operating at its optimal level therefore not making us as sensitive to feel the vibrations, we may have limited beliefs so you are not open to receiving or there may simply be too many distractions either through your own thoughts or through external factors occurring at the time, all of these factors will prevent energy from flowing optimally.

So what does energy feel like? You may experience a change in your bodies temperature going from extremes of heat to coldness as blockages are released, you may feel an onset of emotions ranging from anger to sadness which can occur suddenly often leaving the receiver feeling confused, you may experience your body physically shaking or find yourself coughing or yawning as the energy finds an outlet to remove itself from the body. If your stomach starts to rumble or you experience a tingling sensation these are all signs the energy is present and moving within.

If you are particularly sensitive and awakened, through your third eye you may experience visions, see colours or hear noises you would not normally experience in everyday life. Due to all these changes it is essential that you are able to get adequate rest following a healing session because as trauma releases and the body starts to un wind it is common to feel in some cases exhausted  in others elated depending entirely on your individual vibration.

The relief from releasing blockages and therefore increasing energy flow can often be felt immediately by some, with others it takes time for the body to adjust, be patient healing is occurring continuously in various forms to increase happiness and encourage wellbeing in mind and body for the long term.
